POP Aurel (1921, Oșorhei, Bihor - 2004, Oradea)
Artistic education: the Higher School of Arts in Bucharest (1941-1947), with professors Nicolae DĂRĂSCU and Alexandru STERIADI; Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA) in Budapest (1947-1948), with master SZÓNYI István. He studied additionally with the painter MOLNÁR József. He organized 16 personal exhibitions between 1936-1996 (Săcuieni, Oradea, Marghita, Beiuș, Salonta, Alesd, Satu Mare). He participated in the Official Salon of Painting and Sculpture, Bucharest, 1947. In 2007, a commemorative exhibition was dedicated to him at the Visual Arts Gallery in Oradea.
