GYIMESI (GYIMESSY) KOVÁCS, Gábor (1905, Salonta, Bihor - 1983, Pomi, Satu Mare)
Artistic education: Baia Mare Free School of Painting, with Sándor ZIFFER since 1936.
Exhibits in group exhibitions of settlers, from the late 1930s, including the Bucharest exhibition in 1939. His last exhibition is organized in Oradea in 1980. He paints landscapes, figurative compositions, and portraits. Among his early works, the fair scenes in Baia Mare stand out, presented in an exhibition organized at the Art Gallery in Cluj, in 1943.
