BALLA Béla (Arad, 1882 - 1965, Bixad ?)
Art studies: School in Baia Mare, studies with master KÁROLY Ferenczy, between 1904 and 1905. He continued his studies by enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, making documentary visits to Italy, Rome, and Florence.
He lived and worked in Arad, and after 1927 also in Baia-Mare. He had exhibitions in Budapest (1911), Arad, Cluj, and Satu Mare.
After a short impressionist period, he shifts toward a more pronounced decorative style, with echoes of Art Nouveau and the art of Henri Matisse. Adherent to artistic renewals in the field of French modern art, in Baia Mare he is a sympathizer of the neo-ists and innovative trends, under the coordination of ZIFFER Sándor.
An extremely inventive and talented artist, he paints landscapes, still lifes, and various compositions in a moderately decorative personal manner.
