BALLA Béla (Arad, 1882 - Bixad ?)
Studies: School in Baia-Mare, studies with master KÁROLY Ferenczy, between 1904 - 1905. He continues his studies by enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, making documentary visits to Italy, Rome and Florence.
He lives and works in Arad, after 1927 also in Baia-Mare. He had exhibitions in Budapest (1911), Arad, Cluj, Satu-Mare.
After a short impressionist period, he orients himself towards a more accentuated decorative style, his painting receiving echoes of the Art Nouveau style and the art of Henri Matisse. Adherent to artistic renewals in the field of French modern art, in Baia Mare he is a sympathizer of the neo-ists and innovative trends, under the coordination of ZIFFER Sándor.
An extremely inventive and talented artist, he paints landscapes, still lifes and various compositions, in a moderately decorative personal manner.
