Ion SĂLIȘTEANU ( 1929, Pitești – 2011, Bucharest)
Artistic education: Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts, Bucharest (1949 – 1955), with professors Samuel MÜTZNER, Adam BĂLȚATU.
Between 1965 and 2006, he participated in forty-five national personal exhibitions (Bucharest, Iași, Oradea, Târgu Mureș, Constanța, Brașov, Reșița, Poloiești, Băile Herculane, Pitești, Bacău) and international (Rome - Italy, Kraków, Warsaw - Poland). He also participated in ten national Salons and group exhibitions in the country (Bucharest, Arad, Târgu Mureș) and abroad (Venice Biennale, 1970). He was attached to the Painting Colony at Dealul Mărului, Râmnicu Vîlcea, noting six presences, between 2003 and 2006.
