CORNEA Emil (1898, Marghita, Bihor - 1969, Cluj-Napoca)
Artistic education: Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest (1918-1919); National School of Fine Arts, Bucharest (1919-1920) with teachers: George MIREA DEMETRESCU and Frederic STORK; Bucharest Faculty of Law (1924); Faculty of History and Philosophy, Cluj-Napoca (1927-1929).
Between 1964 and 1972 he organized three personal exhibitions in Zlatna (1964) and Cluj-Napoca (1965, 1972) and was given a retrospective exhibition in 1998 (Cluj-Napoca). Between 1921 and 1947 he participated in eight group exhibitions or salons in Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest. He participated in a creative colony in Baia Mare (1922).
He was awarded the "Reward of Labor" prize in 1947, in Bucharest.
