Lecturer at the Faculty of Drawing of the University of Timișoara, he started with figurative painting within the limits of traditional realism, with expressionist accents, later moving against the backdrop of the novelties of contemporary art towards a clear interest in chromatic experimentation. Color does not dematerialize in his works, but constantly preserves the initial weight of the elements belonging to the raw, almost geological reality. The objects of the external real world are recovered in their quality as constitutive elements of possible environmental structures, where color is the dominant dynamic factor. ((O. Barbosa, Dicționarul artiștilor români contemporani, Ed. Meridiane, București, 1976, p.362).
