CODOIU, Valentin (b. 1955)
Artistic education: Ion Andreescu Institute of Fine Arts, Cluj (1973-1975), Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts, Bucharest (1975-1979) with professor Corneliu BABA.
Between 1976 and 2009, the artist opened ten national solo exhibitions in Cluj (1976, 1978, 1998, 2009), Bucharest, Bistrița, Dej (1999). He has exhibited abroad in Milan (1990), Paris (1992, 1995), Amsterdam (1992), Lisbon (1993), and Florida.
He carried out an intense activity as a scenographer, signing the sets of important theater, opera or ballet productions staged by prestigious lyrical and theater institutions in the country (Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Constanța, Craiova, Sibiu, Târgoviște), but also internationally (France, Iceland).
