Gheorghe ILIESCU (1906, Grumezoaia, Vaslui, - 1988, Roman, Neamț)
Artistic education:
National School of Fine Arts, Bucharest (1933 - 1939), with teachers: Camil RESSU, Jean Alexandru STERIADI
Between 1928 and 1971 he opened thirteen personal national exhibitions (Bucharest, Huși, Pascani, Neamț, Roman) and participated in seventeen official salons and group exhibitions in Bucharest (1933 - 1946)
In 1942, he was awarded the Anastase and Elena Simu prize for painting
