BOTÁR Edith (1930, Ocna Mureș, Ro - 2014, Budapest, Hungary)
Artistic education: ”Ion Andreescu” Fine Arts Institute, Cluj-Napoca (1950-1956). She studied with the teachers: BENE Jözsef, KÁDÁR Tibor, DEMIAN Anastase (Tassy), and WIDMANN Walter.
Between 1955 and 1972 she opened 6 national personal exhibitions in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Odorheiu Secuiesc, and Târgu Mureș. After 1972, she opened international exhibitions in Stuttgart, Bobligen (Germany), and Stockholm (Sweden).
In 1975, she was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit, Bucharest.
Within his artistic activities, a privileged position was held by the medium of watercolor, through which she created portraits, landscapes, or static natures of particular sensitivity.
