POP, Aurel (1921, Oșorhei, Bihor - 2004, Oradea, Bihor)
Artistic education: Bucharest Higher School of Arts (1941-1947), with teachers: Nicolae DĂRĂSCU and Alexandru STERIADI; Hungarian Academy of Arts Budapest, MMA (1947-1948) with master SZÓNY István. He further studied with the painter József MOLNÁR.
He organized 16 personal exhibitions, between 1936-1996 (Săcuieni, Oradea, Marghita, Beiuș, Salonta, Aleșd, Satu Mare). He participated in the Official Salon of Painting and Sculpture, Bucharest, 1947. In 2007 a commemorative exhibition was dedicated to him at the Visual Arts Gallery, Oradea.
